I don't know if it was the way they carried themselves or what. The implication that only certain races would be saved -- I know they never said this, but it seems to be understood by some listeners as such -- is heretical as all the nations, tribes, tongues, etc. Will be worshipping around God's throne in Heaven.

@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st @Blue@detroitriotcity.com it's a fun read, though, and is the result of his wrestling with the loss of the English commonwealth to the monarchists (or something like that). Milton does a good job maintaining both predestination and free will doctrines thoughout the poem. God knows Adam and Eve will fail and warns them, but He places the onus of sin on them and on Satan. There's also a part where Satan picks a fight in the middle of the night in Eden with some angels. As Satan grows to his full titanic proportions to intimidate the angels, God points to Libra in the sky to tell Satan that He has weighed the circumstances on those scales and that Satan will lose the fight should he decide to go through with it. Sounds somewhat predestination-ish to me.
