I hadn't expected to check this off before November, but it's OK. 7) The Biden administration is refusing to release audio recordings over concerns posed by generative AI - there's no doubt that this is bad enough that it would be a scandal, it's a clean hit. 8) Trump's attempted assassination was an inside job. It was used to attempt to jockey for a war with Iran - which hasn't panned out. It killed a US civilian. 9) A quick glance at Bitcoin's value this year shows a giant bubble - a boom and a collapse. 10) China's economy has taken enough hits that a number of experts are calling it a "collapse." It's firey kneejerk reactions like this that make it difficult to sit down and actually think about it, right? Downthread someone points out that Russia's going to expect you to go fight in Ukraine if you do this. This is obviously worse than being stuck in the US, where if you're stuck fighting a civil war you will at least be fighting for your own thing. You come to conclusions like this by talking it out with your bros, not by slinging insults at friendly people.

This happens pretty often in the US as it stands. I guess the question is, how often does that actually happen in Russia?

If this is genuine then this gives lower-skilled right wing people an exit out of the US - presenting a path to a better life for *all* decent people other than revolution. Higher-skilled people can go elsewhere in the world and get a job, and with this it's just true that anyone can pack their bags and get out. Russia isn't a better place than the US if you're skilled, but it *is* a better place than the US if you have limited skills.
