Once, an old woman came to me asking for help with her gps (I was working as an "IT fixer" at that time) and she told me : "Can you check if you can fix it quickly because I don't want to pay for it." I suggested her to contact the company of course. For some people in France, "unauthorized" seems to mean "free".
