I've often wondered how easily you could get away with just fabricating employers to fill in the resume gaps complete with fake websites and references with google voice numbers.

Let me know how well it works, I might just use it to bootstrap a career myself.

It tech? I mean for a shit shop maybe. Most places I worked, the HR team gets subscriptions for 2 background check services (and they only give the candidate a disclosure for one of them). One contracting company couldn't get in touch with a single company on my CV, where I was only at for 2 months. They asked if i had any contact information, and I was like, "I'm pretty sure the company is defunct or it got acquired and everyone who knew me is gone."

Don't forget to cut and paste the exact job requirements onto your resume in tiny white font, so the machine picks it up but the human eye can't see it. 🧐
