I just realized that 3D Space Pinball (or Space Cadet as people know it) that came installed with Windows has a higher quality version called Full Tilt, which has slightly different rules and much higher definition board. It can be found on: https://archive.org/details/full_tilt_pinball And most importantly this version works with the open source version: https://github.com/k4zmu2a/SpaceCadetPinball I played few rounds and managed to better my old high score quite a lot, but like I said the board rules are slightly different so the scores aren't directly comparable. My new high score is 7985250, but this was just done in couple runs so I should be able to get a much higher one.

I've been using 11 since beta so I don't really remember all the stuff that has changed for the better. It is mostly under the hood stuff. I turn off the rounded corners etc fluff anyways so my UI is kinda the same too. Apart from the telemetry stuff it isn't really in any way worse than 10. So as long as you know how to remove the telemetry via Group Policy for example it is a moot point other than from ideology reasons. The issue with DEI is when it is done "just because". For example telling journalists they can only interview certain people or invite certain people to their talk shows to fill a DEI quota. Or in video-games when you get weird moments were an adult character is talking about their polyamory sex life to bunch of kids or have characters who get a sex change "just because" without any real storytelling or compelling reason for it. I firmly believe that all sort of "quotas" are very wrong and more hurting than having the stereotypical "DEI-targeted individuals" get the roles/jobs/representation due to being relevant and skillful in their fields. Yes, they'd probably get way less representation, but it would always be positive and due to merit rather than "just because" and kicking a more fitting candidate under the bus. I'd argue no one would have an issue with the representation either in that case. I am very bad coming up with examples out of the bat, but let's say for example an athlete is gay. As long as they get the representation due to being good at their sport no one has an issue, right? However if the person gets picked to the national team so they can claim they have a gay athlete competing, it would cause a shitstorm. Not because people hate gay people, but because the athlete takes a spot from some more deserving athlete and brings the team performance down.

Stop assuming things you don't know about me. Shaderglass is a fun toy, but like lain said, it doesn't work well with text. It will always look sub-par to the "real thing" aka whatever CRT monitor YOU like/grew up with. There isn't one "correct" CRT to emulate. Things like PC-98 look "fine" in any CRT, not just crappy ones. One could argue the flat Sony Trinitrons are the best ones to emulate, but of course everyone who has grown up with curvature will disagree. TL;DR it is all subjective, there isn't one objective "solution" on how to emulate a CRT on a modern display. Extra points for using the Slayers in the examples though.

I remember kids used to spam TV chats using their phone plans, and that's exactly what that is: immature "look ma I'm on TV" shit. In general I don't get why people even watch things like these. I only watch streamers I do conversations with, as in we talk to each other and not just one message in 3 hours if I pay for it lol At that point might as well just watch a youtube video or whatever. What's the point of tuning in to a live stream without interaction? Can't even fast forward the boring bits.

We used to link to goatse with full-blast audio, but nowadays posting something controversial behind a content warning and easily filterable hashtags results in outrage. Not everything on the internet is meant for you dear scroller. Just scroll past it without opening the content warning or make a note of the hashtag and add it to your filter list. Or mute the user if their content isn't to your liking. I know I've been burned few times too from curiosity, but that's always on me and not the uploader/sharer.
