Just another wanderer of the techno wasteland, seeking a place to rest my weary head for a spell before the ghouls and goblins pick up the trail again Would like to see my people reclaim the glory of their ancestors before I go to meet the great innkeeper in the sky I believe morale is the deciding factor in serious conflict and so I work to keep /areguys/ laughing and our enemies seething

My thoughts exactly. How are more people not getting stabbed playing these kind of female mind-games?

Men are talking, sweetheart. "A common theme in the news today is how it is becoming increasingly common for the younger generations to snub the tradition of getting married and having children. This has led to scare stories about population shrinkage and the problem of aging populations. This phenomenon isn’t all that new, however. In 18 BC Rome’s first emperor, Augustus, tasked himself with tackling a similar problem. Especially in the upper classes of Rome, fewer and fewer people were getting married and having children. His solution was to bring in a range of powerful new laws that encouraged marriage and traditional Roman values. One of them, Lex Julia De Adulteriis Coercendis, even allowed Roman fathers to kill their daughters if they were unfaithful, leading to the rise of honor killings in Ancient Rome."

Ancient Romans used to fuck boys and drown their children. In fact, they had to make laws to make sure men married and had children or their society was going to die. Some aspects of ancient Rome are not to be emulated.

Exactly. There's a reason modern/industrial settings causes an averse reaction in most people. Go somewhere that's absent of light pollution and look at the milky way for 4 hours while you contemplate existence. Have a positive, life-changing experience.

Seeing the lake as a plane of sparkling emeralds and the grass as shining emeralds or the trees as the fins of some obscure fish my ozzy friend had to show us a picture of to explain what we were all experiencing and having everyone hoot about how accurate his description was are things you can't really experience otherwise. There's beauty there and if your intent is to appreciate that then the chances of a bad time are pretty slim. Takes a certain type of person to weather some of the heavy feelings though. Always have an experienced chaperone for groups. Be responsible, not a statistic.
