Crested Cream Legbar appreciator here. They are a fantastic breed. Two things to know: there is a flighty strain and a calmer strain. Flightiness isn't all bad bc it makes them very alert to predators but my first flighty batch used to panic when I got near them and sometimes flew over the fence into the yard where they got devoured by my dogs. The flightiness will pass down. And, they're on the small side so if you have a mixed flock be sure to get enough so they can form a racial gang to defend themselves.

slightly OT but I am fascinated by Agas, I would have one no matter the cost if I didn't live in a state where it's summer for 8 months
I worked at a Starbucks for a while and I learned that people think they're soooooooooo addicted to caffeine but really it's the four to six pumps of corn syrup they need. I was genuinely shocked at how much sugar the average person consumes.

I was thinking of the ease with which one can access the most foul and degenerate porn. Children under 10 have seen all of it and they try to enact it with each other, with predictably traumatizing results. I don't have kids or obv grandkids but all my friends have dealt with this.

lol ppl who could afford VCRs and teevees. I didn't get either one till my 30s. of course that was down to priorities.
I have more memories of the dirty bookstores in the 80s that were on the highways outside of town. we used to undertake pilgrimages to these temples of boomer iniquity.

fuckers. I feel lucky I have an old boomer sperg dentist who's honest and genuinely cares about properly fixing teeth. maybe you can get a second opinion. I had a dentist once tell me I needed to have every one of my silver amalgam fillings drilled out and replaced with composite. This was 20 years ago and all those fillings are still in place and doing fine. She just needed to make a boat payment, or something.

My dentist told me that he treated a lot of millennials who were well on the way to needing full dentures by the age of 40 due to their sugary drink consumption.
He also told me that lazy dentists like to max out ppl's yearly insurance benefits by fixing only one tooth that needs a crown, instead of putting fillings in all the teeth that have decay.

bluebonnet paintings are one very small step away from Thomas Kincaid "paintings of light" but this one is not as saccharine and over-emotional as Julian Onderdonk's work

Also the flipper that bought the house next door to my old place sold it to some mystery meat "investor" who turned it into an airbnb. So instead of weird old hoarders, who were mostly harmless, we had a parade of strangers. I constantly had to go over and ask people to be quiet after 10pm and not to park in front of our driveway. People who stay in airbnbs suck.

I have lived next door to that very thing you describe and I'd still rather have that than a flipper. Because they don't fix it up nicely, they fix it up cheaply. They are responsible for all those houses that look in realtor photos like chilly gray particleboard tombs. I learned the other day that all these modern materials are, like, many times more flammable than real wood and tile etc. The very compounds that hold them together are fuel at much lower temps than older wood.

I read the first sequel as soon as it came out and I immediately hated it. The hack-ness of the whole thing was hideously distasteful. This was before Star Wars was despoiled and dishonored; in some ways it was a prequel to that. It was, in every way, simply an artifact of the soulless lack of imagination of the money people who run things. "yeah, get Frank Herbert's kid to write prequels, these assholes will buy anything." Frank Herbert was a yid, but he could write.

I always wonder why *are* there whites in Detroit. I know a couple of people who live there, moved from somewhere else for a job and stayed for decades now. They are extreme NPC libtards who are incapable of perceiving anything bad about their environment. I guess I just answered my own question.
