Keep that promise. It's not even about the financial aspect of keeping a good drunk going, it's what it costs you on the inside. You literally get to a point where nothing matters because you can just drink everything off instead of realizing the negative things you feel inside are things you need to change, and things you need to feel to feel the motivation to change. Better things come out of direct suffering rather than just drinking them off.
