AcerbusTheDark I'm sorry to hear that. I hope there is someone near who will let you cry and sleep in them. I don't want to make empty suggestions about professional help and stuff as I know it's not readily available to everyone, but I will just ask you to hang in there. There's another side to every hill, and it sounds like you know this. It's just a shame you've had to right out as many as you have already.

AcerbusTheDark Why don't you try a new hobby? Something that can make you forget as well, like reading for example.
Reading really helps me forget about the world around me when I find a good book.
Get an actual book too, it has to be special, so you can smell the paper.
If that doesn't work, well, professional help is the only thing I can tell you to try out, or talking to someone trustworthy about your issues.
Then again, people do make the mistake of thinking that family doesn't care, maybe you do have someone that cares, opening up helps.

AcerbusTheDark Really now, I don't have depression, but ever since my mother has been diagnosed with metastasis cancer, life hasn't been rosy at all, if the pandemic has made life in general for everyone stop, for me this has made it go in reverse.
You can "forget" but only momentarily, so find another obsession to obsess over.

AcerbusTheDark that sucks. Im not psychologist but the best advice I can give is to try and get your mind off that as others said a new hobby best if its something that takes you outdoors. Also, if you want of course, you can talk about it here sometimes getting stuff off your chest helps a lot.

hexagonalsheep93 AcerbusTheDark Sunlight is the best medicine. With whatever treatment you undertake, definitely try some nice relaxing time outside in the sun.
When I was in high school and uni, I had a lot of mini-depression periods. Never really got to the point where I was extremely down, but I would always treat it immediately with exercise, outdoors time, and time with loved ones.

Cayhr hexagonalsheep93 AcerbusTheDark I agree to be outdoors and get fresh air. Is what makes me feel better. When I'm really down in the gutter.
And to OP I can't do much more than wish you well and hope you have someone you can talk to about this. Life is worth living even if it doesn't feel that way right now. :ars_pat: :ars_pat:

AcerbusTheDark ohh I am sorry to hear that do you take antihistamines?

Immahnoob
AcerbusTheDark hexagonalsheep93 It came to mind but, what do you think about trying cooking?
I bake one amazing bread, maybe you can also start doing something similar.
Moving your hands to CREATE does very good to the psyche, it's how men get out of slumps.

Immahnoob
AcerbusTheDark Baking is way easier than cooking, so you should be ok there.

AcerbusTheDark Immahnoob I do all the cooking in my household. Not so weird.

justiceforjoggers yeah, it can be. I like to cook at high temps. It tends to produce juicier meats and firmer veggies. Gotta know when to say when though or you burn it.

AcerbusTheDark hexagonalsheep93 Don't they offer you allergie meds? And I agree with others baking is easy and a lot of fun. There is even cold baking just mixing ingredients no oven required. Or ice-cream making.
