It is fine to be Christian. However, to claim Jesus Christ was "white" is a hard cope. Semitic people speak languages in the Afro-Asiatic family group of languages. If you think that is at all European then there is no helping you in figuring what is what. I think a better classification for "white" Europeans is belonging to proto-Indo-Europeans group of languages and associated ethnic lineages.

@dcc@annihilation.social You think the people of Judea looked like the French, Germans, Scandinavians, and the rest of Europe?

@dcc@annihilation.social I guess if you think the average Sicilian is your idea of the prototypical European but Sicilians have a shit ton of admixture with Semitic people and even some northern Africans. This is the problem with the British created term "white". At one point not even the French or Irish were consider "white", but now people want to include even Jews as "white". It just proves it means whatever people feelings think it means. I should just specific proto-Indo-European or Indigenous European from here on out if "white" is this open for interpretation.

@Sovereign@pleroma.postawakening.com I notice how you missed greek, its about the right description (i would know as one). I'm not the one arguing about "white", i am just talking about white skin color not anything else.

The only people I ever see bristling against “White”, already have a complete, specific ethnic identity. Truth be told, I *only* do, to the extent White American is actually one - so it doesn’t bother me a bit. But I’m pretty sure I’d feel the same as the French or the Germans if I were one.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica@poa.st @Sovereign@pleroma.postawakening.com The problem with "white" is the fact is a term made to de human people. Being American is a identity (the people here look different its been 5-7 gens now).

I don’t disagree; but it’s obvious by now that unqualified “American” could mean anything - any racial category at all. The term has been officially, institutionally deracinated for all intents and purposes. So, in spite of the original intended purpose for the color-coding, it’s now swung to the opposite pole.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica@poa.st @Sovereign@pleroma.postawakening.com I am a Greek American, African American is a separate term as well. So i think American at this point means either heritage American or some one who lives in America.

@dcc@annihilation.social @KingOfWhiteAmerica@poa.st there just doesn't seem to be much coherence usage of terminology. It's just reflexive instead of well thought out. It does little to insulate and ends up sounding like revisionist Disney rework of Snow"white". Loses all meaning in the end. Feelings over takes rational categorizations.

It’s not a terribly precise category, no doubt. But it is nevertheless a real one. In most places around the world, “American” defaults in the mental image to a European-descended, fair skinned type of person. But nevertheless work is definitely being done in mass-media to erase this mental image. Just look at advertising; Europeans by now could be forgiven for believing the United States looks a lot like Nigeria, judging by the ads.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica@poa.st @dcc@annihilation.social @Sovereign@pleroma.postawakening.com I think the working definition of "White" as one being part of broader European Christendom to be more useful than particularity skincolor being the dividing line, hence Euro diaspora that has mixed with different Euro ethnicities is still White while being centuries removed from Europe. From the Azores to the Urals it can broadly be termed as "White" home territory.

@Sovereign@pleroma.postawakening.com @dcc@annihilation.social @KingOfWhiteAmerica@poa.st It's as much cultural as it is racial. Even those who are atheist or otherwise non-Christian have a morality that is founded on Christian thought. A Persian may be closely related genetically but they are quite alien in culture, etc., etc.
