Good mofu morning fedi, my new headset got here surprisingly early in the day. It definitely sounds a bit different, but not in a bad way. Little crisper on the high end, and surprisingly punchier in the bass. IDK what kind of headphones the people complaining about these "lacking bass" were used to, but they must be some ridiculous shit, because these are on the verge of being too bass-heavy, if anything.
Only thing I can complain about right now is that they feel really stiff and are quite noticeable, but that's almost certainly because they just came out of the box. I've also noticed them sounding a tad muddy at times, but I think that's actually me just picking up on poor-quality audio from the source rather than anything the headset itself is doing.
Anyways, it's #SuzuranSunday, and I hope it's been going well for everyone so far.

@Giganova8@varishangout.net Mofu morning :D
Glad your new headphones came in.
I am considering getting a pair for myself. But, I think what I really want is a desk mic. I use my speakers mostly. But, sometimes I record video and need to capture my voice.
I DO have an older headset that works fine, but... I have to wear it to use it xD

I've always preferred headphones of some kind, every time I've used speakers they sound trashy as hell, and I'm not willing to drop $1k+ on the high-quality stuff. Plus I'm not living alone, so it's a courtesy thing too.
A standalone mic is probably a good idea if you're recording for videos and stuff, I've yet to come across an integrated headset mic that didn't sound at least a little bit crusty.

@Giganova8@varishangout.net I felt the same way about headphones. But, eventually noticed I could listen to speakers a lot longer, and my ears wouldn't hurt, or feel sore.
I'm not really sure if it is just the pressure from the head phones, or the heat buildup. But, switching to speakers gave my more computer endurance xD

Correction: I have one actual complaint. The cable they come with is that lowest-bidder, rubberized plastic shit that's gonna look and feel like it's been beat to shit by this time next month, no matter how careful I am with it. :chino_angry:
At least the cable is fully detachable though, so I can just replace it with something decent once it inevitably gets mangled.

Were you using over-ear headphones, or on-ear/in-ear stuff? Cause I know the latter makes my ears sore really quick. Especially on-ear headphones, I'm convinced lizard-people must have invented those given how remarkably uncomfortable they are to use.
A good set of over-ear headphones should be almost unnoticeable once they're broken in, like a good pair of shoes.
