Is online mandatory for monster hunter? I can't play any mutlplayer game on switch

@striker@pleroma.striker.net.eu.org modded? Online is a pretty big part of monster hunter but I played some of the older games completly alone and still had fun. Newer ones have the advantage of cats/dogs AI assitants.

@striker@pleroma.striker.net.eu.org Pirate it and play for a while and if you have the option to get it on PC when it comes out, do that I say. @Sterence@neckbeard.xyz Yeah, playing World I had some good run ins with pubs but most of the game I played with a couple of friends and we progressed together. You mostly play with pubs when you need to grind that one specific monster and feel like doing it faster I think lol

@Chk991@outerheaven.club @Sterence@neckbeard.xyz I bought world but haven't played it much… I always buy games months or even years after their release and my friends have moved on, or I feel like It will bother them if a noob joined

It's not the kind of game you can't pull your weight if everyone is playing from the start because it's mostly about gear for a good portion of the game. Maybe we could play sometimes too
