@spacepirate369@varishangout.net DrRyanSkelton@poa.st@poa.st @Snek@anime.website lewdthewides@poa.st@poa.st mediaproxy means poa.st fetches that image from varishangout and hosts it on it's own servers for its users. it caches that file and that file is then served to poasts users as local media. mediaproxying is disabled for varishangout because of the borderline content/loli posting etc. we don't want that content stored on our servers because its potentially a violation of rules (things the vast majority of people would consider to be extreme) and potentially also the law. all that means is poast is no longer saving a copy of that file on our servers to give to our users instead of our users fetching those files remotely from varishangout. the media isnt blocked, it's just not stored by us.
