@Mevie@stereophonic.space a day's worth of body odour is usually ok tier, but 3-4 days going on it becomes just bad with no redeeming elements, but my brain just ignores that on other people and myself, just like a "its bad but whatever" kinda thing but smelling after a day's work/exercise and then going full strawberries and tea or cranberries or citrus or tar or whatever nice aromas, is just a full journey of pleasantry in every step for me

I realise the connotation of the term has shifted, but originally the "right wing" (of the French legislative assembly) represented Monarchists as contrasted with those of a more libertarian mindset who sat on the left. Hence the revolution and the establishment of the anarchist Paris commune. So by (original) definition right=authoritarian and left=anti-authoritarian. The fact that the connotation has shifted has to do with people's lack of history education and having been brought up using the terms as pejoratives for socialist vs capitalist. Originally the libertarian socialists and free-market capitalists were both left-wing (ie. they physically sat on the left side of the legislative chamber). That's why the vertical spectrum was introduced, to revitalise this authoritarian vs non-authoritarian context which used to be already evident in the left/right dichotomy.
