@fluffy@social.handholding.io For instance, I can define a function that takes a number parameter: `function (arg: number) { ... }`. Then I set it as an onClick handler in a Bootstrap-Vue application: `onClick={this.thefunction}`. Bootstrap-Vue doesn't check if the function fits, its TypeScript definitions are basically YOLO. So what happens if Bootstrap-Vue calls the function with a string argument instead? At compile-time nothing, because TS sees no problem. But at runtime you'll probably get some weird problems that are hard to debug because you expect the types to be fine.

@fluffy@social.handholding.io Yes, but also the fact that TypeScript is just a very thin layer on top of JS that retains all of its weaknesses and leads devs to make false assumptions that can result in bugs. I still prefer using TS over not using it, but eh....
