I really should start working towards getting into shooting as a hobby, issue is that I think I need to start with handguns before I can start practicing the shooting sport I want to do which uses an AR. Handguns seem more... unsafe since you don't shoulder them and it feels like the recoil would potentially increase the risk of you idk dropping the gun and it going off and hitting you. ​ I mean it's probably a dumb unfounded fear to have but I don't think having a fear about firearms is a bad thing since they are able to hurt people if managed improperly, yet I want to shoot a higher caliber in a sport that requires you to run with a loaded firearm ​
