groovestomp - https://social.linux.pizza/@groovestomp Each of my kids has a remote learning workstation thanks to the plague. They've been running stock Fedora/GNOME, but as most third-party software targets Ubuntu I tried that out. Ubuntu's reliance on Snap introduces a moderate performance penalty, so I'm leaning toward a switch to Debian testing with an Ubuntu chroot for the proprietary educational/videoconferencing software. The hardest part will be getting them off Minecraft and onto Minetest due to network effects.

The people who contribute to the development of ISO 24765 and e.g. the IEEE SA Standards Style Manual are not nameless. Nobody expects people to solve all problems in a vacuum and these bodies exist to collect, standardize, and publish guidance in a collaborative manner. Since you mention your desire for precision, I'll note our demonym is "Americans."
