Everything I've ever used in Windows has been slower than on Linux even when on my beefy ahh 32gigglebyte of ram laptop. As for the 10bit color thing, fair enough if I ran a video editing company making superhero movies or something it'd be a bigger concern but it's definitely not something I'd find worth switching to Windows or MacOS personally because I'd have to deal with the rest of the user experience being ass. I'm really surprised loonix doesn't support 10bit color though, you'd think the proprietary gpu drivers would support that by now. I'm going to email Nvidia customer support and violently complain in broken English that my gpu isn't pushing colors good enough

@gentoobro@shitpost.cloud @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com GNU/Kdenlive kicks ass I've edited tons of video on GNU/Linux. I've heard good things about GNU/Blender's video editor as well. Davinci Resolve is a very popular one but I don't use it because it's proprietary and costs money. Plus I don't need to because GNU/Kdenlive has been able to handle anything I throw at it. I can't say I miss Sony Vegas at all after switching away from it years ago
