When my mother had cancer they denied the shots that go with radiation that you need daily because they were elective. Apparently, her doctor yelled at the rep over the phone that there was nothing elective about them. Thank God the clinic ate the costs, damn things were like 900 bucks a shot and she needed them five days a week for six weeks.
