You control your armies, economy, resources and settlements on an map (that happens to be massive in WH2), and the fights happen in an RTS-like top down view of the location where the fight was initiated with your units being controlled in real time.

@MischievousTomato@poa.st you should if you're into RTS and Grand Strategy, it's arguably the best Total War game to date if you don't nostalgiafag for Rome 2, the only thing that's kinda lacking is the siege battles, which are supposedly getting improved in Warhammer 3
