These conversations always lead to those that like the label "Atheist" claiming that words do not actually have any specific meaning. They can mean w/e someone chooses they mean to suit their agenda. Therefore very concise terms like A- Theist (No God) or A- Gnostic (No Knowledge) can mean w/e the person wants it to mean. It's All So Tiresome. Arguing with a Nihilist really is the biggest Fool's Errand ever devised.

I checked. The TSMC plant is the only one that received CHIPS money that has reached production. The rest are still milking as much as possible from the allocations as they drag their feet with construction. The list is longer, but the rest are smaller amounts and none have resulted in actual production.

In the case of the TSMC plant, it is actually operating, so at least when war with China comes, the MIC can still make fancy weapons. I think most of the rest of the CHIPS money was just flat out stolen.

In the end, it's mainly about moving production of critical War Material out of the enemy's base camp. It has nothing to do with helping American workers.
