OK, but why should I care? This entire pandemic was prioritizing the old and sick at the expense of everyone else. Clark Ashton Smith is such an underrated writer. It kind of irritates me that he will be obscure for the indefinite future while absolute trash like the Handmaid's Tale will go to its 78th printing.

They were mostly coming from Northern Italy like Parma, while America got a lot of Southern Italian immigrants from Sicily and Calabria. Germans and Ukrainians were also immigrating to South America, hell the largest Japanese population outside of Japan lives in Brazil.
