@PraxisOfEvil@poa.st Less than a year ago we were assured he'd be good to go for another 4 years.
The primary difference between Talmudic Judaism and Islam is that the former seeks to obtain through fraud and subterfuge what the latter seeks through conquest and brute force.
Several important things in need of clarification regarding Christians and Jews: 1. Christians are forbidden from hating any person or group of persons as a matter of doctrine, and this includes Jews, regardless of what they've done. 2. The Catholic Church's Vatican 2 statement condemning antisemitism denies that either all Jews at the time of Jesus or Jews today are culpable for killing Jesus, but does not deny that Jewish leadership at the time was. This of course would be blatantly denying the gospel accounts, which are pretty well backed up by all other evidence. The Talmud's account of the killing of Christ makes it very clear that the Jewish leadership did it, and the only regret they had was having to go through the Romans to do it. The Jews still complain that the Church's statement is inadequate, and that the Church needs to absolve the obviously guilty Pharisees and Sanhedrin from guilt. 3. Any Jews who are fully aware of the whole of the Talmud and take it seriously can only be described as enemies of Christians, even if we are required to love them and pray for their conversion. Most Jews are not this, especially ones that aren't orthodox, though they may well be anti-Christian for cultural reasons. 4. Christians are morally obligated to evangelize to the Jewish people, as they are to everyone else. This is an obligation of charity, and must be done regardless of the objections of Jewish leadership. 5. Any racial theories which assert Jews are innately genetically evil are entirely incompatible with Christianity, and are effectively atheistic. 6. It is glaringly obvious that Christian "antisemitism" historically has been a retaliation against Jewish behaviors and actions encouraged by certain Talmudic passages. 7. Any Christian ecumenical efforts towards Jewish communities should be contingent upon their disavowal of anti-Christian and anti-gentile rhetoric in the Talmud.

@ChristiJunior@detroitriotcity.com @Xeraser@varishangout.net Nintendo kept "Male" and "Female" in Xenoblade X. That automatically makes them the good guys compared to Palworld and similar devs.

@corruptian@mastodon.cloud >claims to reject organized religions from the Middle East >Supports Israel What's that I'm hearing?
I have prayed on the matter, and the answer I got was that this upcoming period will be a time of strife and suffering, but ultimately Leo XIV will be a good pope who leaves the Church in a better place than before, so we shouldn't lose hope.
Politically Prevost is whatever. He's cringe on immigration, but at least will probably hold the line on poopdick and women priests. What makes him upsetting to me is that the College of Cardinals scandalized the faithful by picking a guy with multiple allegations of covering up sexual misconduct floating around, and these allegations have been around for a while, they didn't just mysteriously pop up at conclave time. I have no idea how true they are, but I think this is one issue where you really ought to steer a wide berth, and the majority of candidates do not have comparable allegations. This is the one issue the whole of the laity is in full agreement upon, the one issue the Church has to deal with in a satisfying manner, and by not doing so it undermines its legitimacy and undermines the central mission of the salvation of souls. The Church will muddle through as it always has, but the leaders who have scandalized an entire generation will be dealt with harshly.
The rumored state of the conclave is that Parolin and Tagle are stuck at around 40 votes apiece, there's a solid 30 or so conservative votes for Erdo, though they aren't expected to grow much beyond that. The rest of the votes seem to be more floating, initially leaning towards Prevost, but more recently have allegedly been moving more towards Mamberti, who imo is vastly more palatable than Prevost or Parolin as a compromise candidate. If this is an accurate breakdown of the camps, and these camps solidify at roughly those numbers, that would be favorable for someone like Pizzaballa to emerge as younger and more charismatic compromise candidate.
Democrats pretending to care about defending the honor of the papacy from Trump.

@wgiwf@poa.st @RaHoWaJoe@poa.st https://x.com/WalmartThomist/status/1918734461044207839 The report is from a gay Italian tabloid citing "anonymous sources," so it's probably fake. But it's a good sign for his candidacy if he's got enough traction to get these smears, and it's not like I'd mind them being true.

@RaHoWaJoe@poa.st He had the guts to call out the IDF for shooting kids. I wouldn't expect him to necessarily be politically right-wing, but he is very religiously devout and seems to be theologically orthodox.

@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st Was that a tranny all along? I don't really pay attention, but that's a huge problem with online movements/communities.
Fedi Conclave Which of the following would be your choice as the next pope? #Catholic #Pope #Conclave

@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st @BowsacNoodle@poa.st That's not a fair characterization... He also believes in conserving the state of Israel.

Having the best-run conspiracies being transparent mafia hits, and the worst-run being autistic soy admins doing whatever some random e-girl wants in exchange for feet pics, that kind of makes it harder to believe in competent elites pulling off the more elaborate and sophisticated conspiracies being floated.
I like how the fake suicides surrounding Epstein are so obvious that even the normiest of normies know something fishy is going on. It kind of makes me doubt the plausibility of overly sophisticated conspiracy theories. A lot of the conspiracies proven to be true usually boil down to a bunch of dimwitted nepo babies in a group chat.
I do think there's a good chance the "progressive" wing at the upcoming conclave just collapses. A lot of cardinals don't seem to like a lot of stuff Francis did and would prefer someone who'll unambiguously affirm traditional Church teaching and at least be open to more traditional liturgies. The main progressive darlings, Parolin and Tagle, have both gotten in trouble for mismanaging money, and Tagle's presided over the Filipino Church, which is currently doing very badly. That doesn't mean the next pope will necessarily be a conservative firebrand, but I would expect it to produce someone more conservative than Francis.

@smugumin@poa.st "Why is it stripped of color and soul?" This is directly connected to replacing male/female with Type A/B.
