I can't fault a guy for having hobbies but of course it's Star Wars-adjacent. But I don't agree at all with how the mother-in-law decided she would take someone else' property and destroy it, no matter what she's doing. Old Star Wars is fine. The mother-in-law was a beating away if I were in America assuming it could count as "defending your property" or something. The fact that his wife isn't behind him on this is his own fault, he has chosen a bad wife. He's an engineer with a hobby. Every man has hobbies be it lego or trains or gaming or whatever. You either respect this or you go look for an ooga booga pavement negroid. I game, I (rarely these days) watch anime, I do some reading, I like history, I like my garden. Any potential future wife can either agree with it all (as in: she's okay with it and will never object to it unless there are financial reasons) or not even bother contacting me in the first place.
Any girl giving me a shittest will get one back in the form of heavy verbal insults and aggression. I will NOT take any shittests, however I will be thankful for any I get because it's a quick and clear sign of an absolute unsalvageable shit person that's to be avoided at all costs.

There's no way in the history of ever that American police would allow a man to beat a woman up because she's destroying his property, I don't think. That's where it kind of goes off the rails. This is blatant disrespect regardless and as the head of his home he should be putting his foot down and reiterate that there are boundaries and this was over the line by far. The problem is you can't just "discuss" respect into people like this because they have no intentions of respecting him in the first place. He's better off cutting his losses because in a marriage this is a dire sign.

No chance, I'd verbally and mentally abuse her back into a state of...ah what's the point he has freaked up with his wife to begin with. Mental, verbal and physical abuse are very very last resort stuff to get your wife in place but when you got to use this it's already too late to begin with. Yeah if this were to happen to begin with, the situation's completely faulty starting with the wife. If ever you have a partner who thinks it's okay to just get your stuff smashed if it has anything to do with "being a real man" while they have no intention of "being a real woman" then there's no point. The standard is applied entirely without reason or compromise.
