BA and a JD, and relatively speaking, I don't make much more than my grandfather did working at a gas station.

My grandpa worked a demanding blue collar skilled trade and made over 20 a hour in tbe 80s. How the fuck do I even compete with that? $20 then is $78 now on official inflation rates.

And he probably got a nice pension to boot.

My grandpa worked for chevron starting in the 1950s and got stock. He did very well as a result.
