The only way we're going to solve the race question is by admitting that slavery is not immoral. Obviously, beating or killing a slave is a different matter, but there's no evidence that every slave owner abused his slaves. You could say that slavery should've been merit-based instead of race-based, and I would agree with that, but we all know how that would turn out lol
