Abortion measure lost in Florida because it only got 57% of the vote (needed 60).
Meanwhile, this is a red state victory:

Missouri overturns abortion ban as voters approve a core right to reproductive freedom
Missouri voters approved Amendment 3, ending an abortion ban imposed by Republican officials more than two years ago.

Here's the rub - we can pass all the referendum/constitutional amendments in the states, but if a state's Supreme Court is controlled by hardline conservative Republicans those laws and amendments will not get enforced.

True, but the real threat is a federal ban, which the GOP, including Vance, have promised,
The best they're offering is "we'll take your right to bodily autonomy, but we may help you as a welfare mom" as Vance said in his "softened" approach.

Of course it is.
"Exceptions" to save a woman's life is also a farce - hospitals will be reopening sepsis wards, and everyone knows women lie about rape.
GOP is a farce on abortion. Always has been.

Historically, you are right
Trump got them away from "nationwide ban" to "#10A issue"
And defanged the radical Christian side of the Right
Also on exceptions

Yes, exactly. The voters take it up with the state legislature and it is no longer a federal question.
I hope they do the same with drugs and gay marriage.

I favor decriminalization. Legalization has been a failure generally.

For example, in my ideal world, government does not oversee drugs, marriage, or abortions.
These things cannot be uniformly enforced therefore are a bad basis for law.

My guess is that Arabs understand that only a negotiated peace with Israel is going to work, and Trump is willing to do that while Biden played games with money/weapons.
