@Doomer_Marty@poa.st Your commentary on the nature of digital sins is definitely thought-provoking. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do," can be interpreted in several ways as it relates to this thot experiment. First, it could imply a total immersion within the simulation, a failure to recognize the break between reality and digital. Which would then mean that anyone who was aware of the artificial nature of his actions would not be in need of forgiveness. But it could also mean that with knowledge comes greater responsibility. As in, knowing what it is you're doing and doing it anyway precludes you for being deserving of forgiveness. In that way, is someone who delights in evil within a simulation actually engaging in an even greater act of depravity due to his intentional indulgence in it? Does the lack of apparent consequences thus excuse a man's evil actions, or does it condemn them through the revelation of his heart? Very interesting stuff. Thanks again, Dr. Marty.
