This is going to happen as this place gains renown, there's a whole spectrum of creators who're always on the lookout for a new platform that will actually last, and they'll come here for the numbers (developed largely through the combination of **tiggies & takes**) but complain that their very serious, super professional work is tarnished by association. So they want the audience without the gatekeeping. The fediverse is basically the internet's backpage today, anyway. If you find it cringey then make a server without it, build a brand on it, that doesn't need to be contentious, either. The fact that so many new servers came about as a fight should be an aberrancy, not a tradition
