>Go to the bar for a couple drinks because drinking alone seemed too depressing.
>$30 tab.
Inflation has made drinking at a bar not worth the company. Guess it's better for my liver though.

@Hoss@shitpost.cloud My local does $10 pitchers on Saturdays, it's only a shade more expensive per drink than a six pack, so I just do that rather than sit in the dark drinking a half gallon of beer by myself.
Only downside is that the beer is merely tolerable.

My local haunt has $3 Hamms on tap, which ain't bad. Probably would've just had a couple of those if I had cash, but I figured I'd order something harder and follow it up with the cheap beer since they have a minimum on card tabs. I guess the moral of the story is not to be caught without cash when you go to a bar.

@Hoss@shitpost.cloud Yeah I only go once a week with a budget that I pull cash for at the beginning of.
pitcher and an app if I didn't eat much that day. Gotta drink with a plan, any plan's better than none

I would've went to the ATM but I already gotta pay off the card and student loans in a couple days anyway, might even have to fish a couple bucks outta the crypto I still have laying around just to make sure I don't overdraft. I got some money but I don't tend to keep much of it sitting around in my checking account unless there are bills to pay, which occasionally makes things annoying.

@Hoss@shitpost.cloud I work in a partially cash business so I always have some pocket money that I just don't deposit.
I have had friends who use the cash withdrawal as a budgeting technique, e.g. they pull 40 bucks out at the beginning and that's all the discretionary spending they allow for the week. Seems a good strat to keep from being foole dby the plastic funny money imo

Having a partially cash income is based, you can just keep it off the books and use it for regular expenses while not drawing from any of the income that has a paper trail. Not that I would ever do such a thing, of course. Minecraft strat.

@Hoss@shitpost.cloud I used to deliver pizza a long time ago, and the store paid out tips and milage in cash at the end of the night.
Talking to an old friend, I learned that they now they pay it out through some app/banking thing that afaict exists only to leave a paper trail so that the govt. gets their pound of flesh.

Now that both the frontrunners running for president of Israel's fan club are shilling the "no tax on tips" thing, I genuinely hope the wagies get a W out of it. I suspect the promises from both sides are empty though.

Trump started talking about credit card interest being too high. I hope someone gets in his ear and starts talking about payday loan scams and all these other predatory schemes. it would be really funny watching people try to defend these usury schemes and you know autists will be hitting hard on who runs them.
