If it appears that I throw the baby out with the bathwater re: technology, capitalism, America
It's because I've never lived in a time where the baby wasn't floating face down, drowned

@Ottovonshitpost@poa.st "b-b-b muh modern medicine make me live long watch Rick Morty Season 10"
Modern medicine wouldn't even be needed if people just went in the sun, ate wild game meats, and did basic exercises. Theory: modern medicine is a reaction to outcomes of industrial capitalism. Throw as many rhetorical babies out with the bathwater as possible. We need full scale transformation, not any pussy shit incrementalism.

@heidegger14@poa.st @Ottovonshitpost@poa.st Remember that the biggest advances to medicine were simply sanitation (don't get shit in an open wound) and sterilization (alcohol or fire)

@Ottovonshitpost@poa.st one of the strongest memories from my childhood was my dad losing his job in the recession and (at least in terms of world events) it only got worse from there, so yeah I'm right with you on the "fuck everything let it burn" train.
