@crunklord420@kiwifarms.cc lmao i wonder if they are doing this to everyone because I don't know a reverse image search that doesn't show the image you just searched

jd - https://cdrom.tokyo/users/jd crunklord420 - https://kiwifarms.cc/users/crunklord420 Calm down for a second. This is reverse image search - looks like they wrote a bot that uses the service to try looking up where CP is posted, to find and report. But in doing so, they are distributing CP which is very illegal (obviously). And then they are reporting the image they themselves just posted. So, likely a case of retarded developer, not malicious intent.

@maxi@paypig.org @crunklord420@kiwifarms.cc I specifically said "i don't know a reverse image search that doesn't show the image you just searched" I don't think one who didn't understand that it's reporting the image it just uploaded would say this. It's developer error, yeah. I personally don't see anything wrong with the practice of using reverse image search engines to find csem, the temporary caching of these images, while technically uploading, is unavoidable and not public anyway. The bug should be fixed though.

@jd@cdrom.tokyo @maxi@paypig.org literally do not upload cp for any reason ever, I don't care if you think it's the network equivalent to /dev/null.

@crunklord420@kiwifarms.cc @maxi@paypig.org wat. on what basis do you hold this view? even for the purposes of it's wider removal?

@jd@cdrom.tokyo @maxi@paypig.org because every part of it super illegal. If you want to something like this you can apply to get access to hash databases and scrape images. You never upload, you don't eve store the images, just the hashes.

@jd@cdrom.tokyo @maxi@paypig.org and no, you can't get access to these hash databases because it's literally part of a conspiracy to keep big tech entrenched.

@crunklord420@kiwifarms.cc @maxi@paypig.org yeah, do you know of a reverse image search that is accessible to those who would seek to remove csem that deals in image hashes? that isn't vulnerable to slight modification? I know Facebook uses something like this. but if it's not actually accessible to the general public, or even the organization with moderate funding, it seems to me to still be a lesser evil, disregarding legality.

@jd@cdrom.tokyo @maxi@paypig.org that's law enforcements problem. Read about PhotoDNA, another proprietary thing.

@crunklord420@kiwifarms.cc @jd@cdrom.tokyo @maxi@paypig.org funny though, that they manage to get money from old things, because hashes have been known since forever, what is new about them??????

wikifarms - https://kiwifarms.cc/users/wikifarms jd - https://cdrom.tokyo/users/jd crunklord420 - https://kiwifarms.cc/users/crunklord420 Well, the gated product is not the hashes, it's the source material, that a civvie can not get without getting assraped.I 'member reading something about FBI having a giant CP database with basically everything they ever confiscated from pedos, to use it for entrapping other pedophiles.I also 'member when Gunt and Andy tried doing someting like that.

@maxi@paypig.org @wikifarms@kiwifarms.cc @jd@cdrom.tokyo the hashes are a commercial trade secret to protect big tech while leaving everyone else vulnerable to Dan Olson attacks.
