$80 for Mario Kart is gonna make the Switch 2 a hard sell. Especially in this economy.
Fanboys having an orgasm over playing Soul Calibur 2 when I can play that in Dolphin with HD textures all day everyday for free.
To be fair I haven't really liked Nintendo much since they screwed over the Wii U userbase with how quick they killed the console's support. Nintendo had great games in the yester year but their new stuff ain't the same.

@ooignignoktoo@shitposter.world So, the Switch 2 is the new Wii U? Kinda called it, though, those consoles that reutilize a previous one's name gotta be just remastered versions, if you think about it

@vokainen099@cawfee.club I think my biggest gripe is having to pay for upgraded versions of games you already own. Microsoft isn't even that greedy with series enhanced games for the most part. Sony loved to do that though

Microsoft isn't that greedy (For now) because it's been on a losing streak since the One came out, and they can't alienate their leftover playerbase with maximum mode greediness.
Back in the days of the 360 when they were winning because programmers couldn't wrap their hear around PS3 hardware, it was Microsoft to spearhead the current brave new world of always-online DLC-ridden cinematic remake remastered "experiences".
So, it depends on what they can get away with. Since about a decade it's Sony to take the turn of being greedy, and now Nintendo is confident enough after the Switch being a success, and is going for a piece of the cake too.
