Here are my thoughts on music and why it is better to listen to whole albums. I'm right and you are a faggot. 1. Music must have three elements to be music: sound, time, and "the intention of being heard as music." 2. Music must have sound to be music, because the idea of deaf-mutes waving their hands around at the same time being "music" is retarded. 3. As an effect of the physical properties of sound, music must take place over time. 4. Because music takes place over time, all music must have a definite "start" and "end." 5. Music must be "intended to be heard as music", because not all sounds made over time are heard as music.(speech, random noise, other audible communication...) (whether all sounds over time are capable of being "heard as music" is an entirely different debate.) 6. Because music "must be intended to be heard as music," all music is communication (with a messenger, signal, and receiver) (or however you want to define communication you stupid fucking faggots). 7. Because all music is communication, all music must have meaning (whether prescribed or ascribed). 8. A song is sound, time, and musical intentionality contained within a definite start and end. 9. The meaning of an song can be as simple as "air vibrations sound good to grug ear" or "grug beating stick in the same way make grug want to move" 10. The meaning of any communication changes as more information is communicated. (if you say "just kidding" to someone after saying "I want to fuck catgirls (male)" it changes the meaning of the first statement) (it doesn't make you any less of a fag) 10.5 The information/message/signal communicated by music is sound that is intended to be heard as music. 11. A musical album, as commonly understood, is the collection of an individual song or individual songs that is somehow reproducible. 12. While songs might be produced as their own individual acts of musically intended sound, with their own individual meanings, the very act of collecting individual songs into an album changes the meaning of every individual song. 13. The act of collecting individual songs into an album is an act of communication with it's own meaning. 14. The purpose of all communication is for the receiver to receive the message the messenger is sending. 15. You are a stupid faggot if you think that only getting part of an intended message is better than the whole message. 16. God damn nigger most albums are less than an hour, give the artist some fucking respect and let them tell you what they are trying to tell you. 17. I'm not saying you always have to listen to entire albums. Sometimes you're just in the mood to hear part of the message. (it still would be better to receive the whole message) 18.
