@nosleep@neckbeard.xyz Actually they are right.
Natural gas is less harmful than oil. Of course natural gas is still fossil fuel, but burning natural gas creates less CO2 per unit of energy than oil does. Also crude oil still needs to be refined while natural gas can basically be immediately used.
Natural gas is not better than renewable energy or nuclear energy or course, but it still a step up from oil and should not be disregarded.

@nosleep@neckbeard.xyz >appoint non-retard to manage nuclear policies on disposal/production
>generate more electricity than anyone knows what to do with
>transition everyone to electric/hybrid cars, have electric as an option at gas stations, get major car brands to make electric cars (because the tesla is way too expensive)
Meanwhile we throw literal trillions on dumb shit and bs like running stories on how fucked the planet is. My theory is that they don't actually want to fix the environment crisis because if they did they'd have one less issue to get elected on

@nosleep@neckbeard.xyz And big oil is literally funding their election campaigns so they aren't going to take kindly to electric cars anyway

@lelouchebag@shitposter.club yeah this is staggeringly accurate, especially in the eu. some of my family members have tried to penetrate a few env-friendly markets like waste disposal, filters for coal power plants, etc, and each time they've been turned back because, surprise surprise, no one actually gives a fuck about the environment. either you deal with eurocracy (200 page "simplified" form for grants & very little support from policymakers unless you have media attention) or with private cabals (good luck lol)

@nosleep@neckbeard.xyz it's definitely the first one. coal isn't marketed as "natural coal"
