If any of you guys are knowledgeable about fightsticks I'd like some recommendations. And should I aim for something with sanwa parts?

@neon_course@poa.st I just use a hitbox tbh, never liked the way sticks felt. If you have any confidence in your ability to assemble it yourself, I'd recommend that since they're a bit expensive through the shop.
Do you play anything on Fightcade? I'd be up for making an alt and playing some games.

I play on a (barely functioning) keyboard so not that much different from a hitbox. But im not picky with my peripherals, I've been considering both a stick and hitbox.
And yeah I do sometimes, kinda been taking a break since this keyboard frustrates me so much lol.

@neon_course@poa.st Nice, what games? I mostly play Samurai Shodown V Special, but I'd be interested in getting back into Vampire Savior or learning Karnov's Revenge, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Real Bout Fatal Fury 2.

@tengumatingpress@poa.st 3rd strike, and alpha 2 im decent at. I played a bit of savior and want too learn it better, plus real bout or mark of the wolves also.
Word of warning, im no pro lol, I just recently got serious into FGs.

@neon_course@poa.st Not really a fan of Third Strike, but I'd definitely be willing to play those other games.
And don't worry about that, I play like a crack-addled chimp.

@neon_course@poa.st i use seimitsu buttons. sanwa buttons are 2 trigger happy, and not as good for mashing
stick wise a seimitsu ls-56 w/ octogate, it has like a 1/10th the distance to push it for the input to trigger vs a sanwa JLF
loud as shit, but a bunch of guys i know call it a cheater stick since you hardly need to move it
as for the whole stick what are you thinking? just PC? old shit too? building from scratch? modding the cheapest you find?

@neon_course@poa.st might be a little light but it should go good. Can always throw it in a heavier shell if its sliding around annoying you
Think the stock qanba parts are alright, been a minute since i touched em though. That\s all preference and trying other ones out though. buttons are like 3$ea anyway and spares are good to have. May want to swap the stick itself but idk what to suggest if you don't have any experience with em yet
I may or may not have been the local stick man for 15 years so hmu if u end up with any autist questions
