In the early days of Spinster, it pissed me off how he came on and took screenshots of Spinster posts to talk shit about them on Twitter. So I modified the user interface to include a very tiny, almost invisible watermark of the current logged-in user's user ID in the corner of each post. Next time he posted a screenshot, I opened his image in an image editor and ramped up the contrast by 500% so I could see the ID, and I banned him. He was extremely shocked and confused how we figured out which user he was. It's a little unethical, so I removed it right after that and didn't do it again. But all this time he's wondered how we got him, and I'm glad to finally share this story.
