@Brewswillis@paypig.org The routes are mostly unrelated, I'd recommend reading the VN at least through the Fate route and either continuing to read it for the entire story or watching the UBW anime and Heaven's Feel movies. I guess you could also watch Fate/Zero, the prequel, though I didn't much care for it. Everything else is a spinoff or otherwise noncanonical, so the order doesn't matter. I'd definitely recommend Prisma Illya if you can tolerate lolis.
