Despite him being against bloat, all these POSIX shell compatibility shims are just bloat when you can use bash instead and suffer some small performance loss. >(and why are the functions and variables haphazardly named) That's suckless brainrot. I like their software, but hacking on it sometimes turns into pain when you realize that the variable names are complex abbreviations.
