I was against the idea of putting MORE gear on cops and yet, boy was I wrong. The bodycams prove that having tasers is more of a net-negative for law enforcement.

Nobody who followed the witness statements would've asked for more bodycams in order to shed a light on police mistreatment of black people, but if the intent were to shed light on how police sometimes get stabbed in the face for desperately trying to deescalate conflicts with black people, then it's working out pretty well. Bodycam footage also vindicated Chauvin, although nobody cared by then.
