I had an older version of NPC programming under which you were still allowed to carefully engage heretics, not just shun them, so although I knew that she was doubleplus ungood, I still read the article--aggressively: "Bullshit." "Bullshit." "Bullshit!" "heh, that's funny, but wrong." "Bullshit." "OK, that's a good point, Not gonna lie, she's right there." How did I call out so much of the article as wrong? Well, I don't remember it at all, but probably she was just relying on an understanding that disagreed with my programming. Maybe an NPC reading this Chauvin article today would object to the OJ reference in the same way. "What, does she think OJ was guilty or something? The prosecution had a racist cop!"
