Just reading a story in a Dutch newspaper about a mother talking about her "son"
According to her it was clear her daughter was born in the wrong body because, and here it comes:
Her motor skills were "off", she was walking like a boy (?), with role-playing she always wanted to be a soldier and we all know no woman ever has fought in wars ever, throughout the history of the human race. Or wanted to be Spiderman (so many female superheroes to choose from, but I digress). She never wanted to play with dolls, but always with cars (I had older brothers, I played with a lot of their "boy" toys, guess I'm now an undiagnosed tranny too) "We thought back then that "he" is just a cool girl, or wants to be like "his" older brother" - guess what, I wanted to be like my brother too in some ways.
The daughter was 6 when she refused to wear a dress - I also refused to wear dresses at that age, main reason, during playing they were annoying, pants were much easier. Then after when it became a major drama the poor girl was reduced to the words "I wanna be a boy, not a girl". The reason I was never reduced to say this, was because my mother never made a drama about it. Period. That's the problem.
When eventually the family was referred to a gender clinic it was clear to the "doctors" their daughter was in fact a "boy", because, here it comes "He took a toy sword and beat a barbie doll with it". Never mind all the research that most girls "torture" their barbie dolls.
At 12 this girl was put on hormone blockers sending her into menopause, making her depressed and everything, because she "just wants to be a normal boy". Completely ignoring the fact that puberty blockers cause severe depression in kids.
The mom is super excited when her daughter turns 15 because then she can start taking testosterone.
For anyone who can read dutch, or willing to take a chance with google translate, the article: https://archive.is/tHp0c

@LadyMont@spinster.xyz Then, they tell us it has nothing to do with sexist stereotypes, of course not. 🙄

@Chronic-Yonic@spinster.xyz my point exactly. Going by sexist stereotypes I should’ve been put on hormone blockers and subsequently put on testosterone. Nvm the fact that though a tomboy I loved the fact I was a girl and one day would be a woman like my mother and grandmother and all the other women I looked up to.
I didn’t like dolls, I didn’t want to wear dresses, I would always rather wrestle with my big brothers ending up being covered in bruises from head to toe, but lord did I have fun, despite some tears cause my brothers sometimes went too far, cause they were unaware of their physical strength at times and caught up in the moment, forgetting about my fragility.
These people are so incredibly dumb and sexist and slaves of the patriarchy. Pushing trannies upon society with these types of arguments just proofs “being born in the wrong body” doesn’t exist. God I hate this shit. Hate it even more when it’s women pushing these arguments. That poor poor girl

@LadyMont@spinster.xyz @Chronic-Yonic@spinster.xyz I "should" have been put on puberty blockers too, for all the same reasons. But I also had all the signs of, and indeed did have genuine dysphoria - from as young as I can remember, I only ever played as male characters, all the way back to "galloping" around the playground pretending to be horses age 3. In all my dreams, including before knowing what dysphoria even is, I have a male body, aside from a couple of nightmares specifically about having female anatomy. I hated so so much being female, I couldn't see myself as a woman, I was pretty much as "true trans" as it gets, by even the most conservative rules I should be transitioning. But, I genuinely don't want to anymore, and I can't imagine how much harder all this would be if I was detransitioning on top of everything else. It doesn't help anyone. It's my body, there's nothing wrong with it, and my past mental illness caused by misogyny and homophobia doesn't change that.

@Nagaraja@spinster.xyz @LadyMont@spinster.xyz Same, if I were young now, I'd be put on puberty blockers, especially in Tranada
