I noticed that freetube shit the bed with other channels, but it wouldn't play an age restricted video anyway, that was screwed up with youtube's own updates last year.

@bleedingphoenix@wolfgirl.bar Except that the last time this happened, which was a couple of months ago, it was due to the Freetube devs not paying attention and forgetting to properly update a dependency in the source code itself, not Jewtube blocking the program. Every part of tech sucks.

@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st makes sense. i heard someone say that there won't be mods for this one. i guess bethesda games aren't moddable anymore? but i checked and there's already mods on nexus, so it's confusing. i did enjoy the game a long time ago but i got it through capitalism ( ) and although i have no problem paying for it now, there's this weird feeling to pay money to play a remaster you got for free... so i'm on the fence. what do you think?

Bethesda won't give an official API like the Creation Engine of yore, but since Epic Games offers a free editor for UE5, people who know how to use that can easily do some basic stuff like some asset manipulation. You shouldn't expect anything that requires scripting, though, like previous games.

@branman65@poa.st If I had to guess, the suits at Bethesda and Microsoft barely remember the ESRB controversy a long time ago, shortly after release of the original, where some nerds found files of naked female creatures on the discs, which made the ERSB threaten to put a "AO" tag on Oblivion, if the files weren't removed.

that's dumber than the GTA: San Andreas hot coffee mod controversy. at least the GTA characters were actually screwing in the unused content.

@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st oh so then it's true. what on earth are they thinking? well, i guess most people played skyrim unmodded. so maybe they figure they don't lose to much at least when compared to dev hours it would take to make a creation -engine style kit with ue5.
