I always ask people what is holding them back from switching to GNU/Linux. They always say some bullshit excuse, such as a specific game they need to be able to play, or an application that they need. They don't realize the advancement GNU/Linux has made in just the last decade. Thanks to Valve and Steam Play, along with SteamPlay and other achievements they and others have made such as dxvk, and Vulkan support. A lot of games that are "windows only" do work with GNU/Linux. Check out protondb.com - also look for any game that supports Steam Play/SteamOS - they will typically have "native" support for GNU/Linux. As for the applications, a lot of old "legacy" software is moving to more of a web based platform. Just look at the Adobe creative suite. Thanks to advancements in mobile technologies, there has been a push for web based adaptations. So, the arguments of losing an application is nonsensical at this point. For everything else, there's alternativeto.net Thanks for coming to my poa.st Talk.

@graf@poa.st @Hempbeard@poa.st You can install assessment lockdown software on a VM if you spoof enough things, but for genshit what's the point, playing a mobile game on pc... why?
