The Church has suffered extensively at the hands of the nerd. Under the tyranny of dorktastic nerdy smartypants nonsense, we have lost countless generations held under the sway of people whose reason led them to drag countless souls to hell - and if not hell, then lives of absolute misery.
May God deliver us from the scourge upon the Body of Christ that is the nerd.

The nerd inevitably confuses his unique gifts with a positive value - "intelligence is useful to me, therefore intelligence is a positive virtue." This is one of the reasons Tillich butchered theology as badly as he did. He confused the what of theology (discovering and formulating religious doctrine) with the why (sorting out that which "concerns us ultimately" as he says). He did so because simply collecting and commenting on Biblical data like a legitimate theologian wouldn't permit him to use his BIG FAT BRAIN like he wanted to, and it didn't allow him to push existentialism on everyone; so he redefines theology in terms of a single motivational factor ("ultimate concern") so as to liberate his intellect from the shackles of the Word of God and its demand that we utilize common sense. By his influence, thousands of ministers were taught wrongly and millions of souls were put at risk, all because one nerd got his way.
If Tillich is in hell (and that is likely), he is shoved in the most cramped locker hell has to offer - sharing space with Valentinus.

Your anti Calvinism makes more sense in the context of your obvious hatred of smart people. ;)

Was it God's decretal will or secret decretal will that enforced my hatred π

There's only one decretal will, which you should be aware of.
"Why would you do that, you fool!", Cried frog, "now we will both drown!"
"I did it because I am a Lutheran", said Lutheran
