They of course recycled him in when Crystal Dynamics got their turn in destroying the series in 2006, as if fucking Tomb Raider wasn't one of the earliest woman-friendly video game series. And don't let me started how in Fallout 2 the narrative is heavy handed in places like Vault City and Broken Hills. Half of it could have been written yesterday. All I'm saying is, it's not like things weren't already like that before, but it's that worse writers got ahold, and they dropped subtletly completely, while IRL things were getting steadily worse for average folks, and it got unbearable
