I am so glad that I am a Swede in Sweden at this moment. The world has gone absolutely mad while we have stayed atleast a little bit sane with regards to Corona.Requiring negative tests of people otherwise obviously healthy? Wtf.

@TheIronHeart@pieville.net Even Wikipedia admits that "several other European countries have higher rates of confirmed cases and deaths per capita than Sweden." Strange that they cucked out given the relative success of the Swedish approach, guess there was a lot of international pressure to make Sweden fall in line with the rest of the world. Assuming that Sweden could have achieved Norway's very low rate of deaths is silly even if attempting to do so had been worth it, it's well known by now that the virus spreads more in immigrant-heavy communities, and guess what Sweden has a whole lot more of. Sweden's death rate is also only like 3 times higher than that of Denmark, which would seem like an acceptable trade-off given all the negative consequences of lockdowns and restrictions of basic freedoms.
