It's not exactly a secret that some of the tactics the far left practices today are things that fundamentalist christian conservatives did as recent as 10-15 years ago. The difference is, the conservatives never managed to do it at the same scale we see it happening today. For instance you'd see a Harry Potter book burning, but without the left's social power, it was just a small protest for show. It never had the same ramifications.
