@massiveracist@neckbeard.xyz >newer software supposedly have a higher resource footprint I remember a lot of anons on 4chin saying that they got updates on arch that gave back storage. Also, unless you have an old computer, that doesn't matter

@MischievousTomato@neckbeard.xyz @massiveracist@neckbeard.xyz Its good that he thinks of arch this way, keeps the retard away. I have never had any issue with my resources being hogged by arch in the last year since I started using arch for the first time. I am an arch retard and I can do a much better job than seethe like this Übermensch retard. I thought people were ironically saying that updates break their arch, but does not seem like it, kek. They clearly ask you to check the news for package news right in the docs. People who do not read docs need to be exterminated.

@massiveracist@neckbeard.xyz @MischievousTomato@neckbeard.xyz I know right? Most of the time its just "Pacman -Syyu" and that's fucking it. There's no more steps to keep your systems updated. Even better, arch repos and aur have almost all software you ever need and more. All it takes is a weekend to understand the docs.
@massiveracist@neckbeard.xyz @FrailLeaf@neckbeard.xyz @MischievousTomato@neckbeard.xyz My Pacman experience is mostly fucking with keyrings when they don't work and getting frustrated because it doesn't support partial upgrades. This is not an argument in favor of apt however, it has its own set of issues.

@massiveracist@neckbeard.xyz @emilis@cdrom.tokyo @FrailLeaf@neckbeard.xyz @MischievousTomato@neckbeard.xyz @SuperDicq@cdrom.tokyo I want to like Manjaro, but yeah -- it seems to have weird problems I've never seen on just regular Arch. Especially now arch has an easy installer (https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Arch-Linux-Does-Archinstall) I really don't see the point of most people bothering with the derivatives that just seem to have weird problems. Unless someone is absolutely new to Linux (then I say try Pop! OS) then just regular ol' Arch.
