In the late 1970s there was an attempt to add homosexuality to the privileged class, making discrimination against them illegal. This resulted in total defeat politically. That's where we are on the pedo-trans legal battle, the Arkansas law is no surprise. What remains to be seen is whether the memetic power of social media can move the needle 30 years in a few months.
